NORTH SHELBY SCHOLARSHIPS

 

This listing is based on scholarships offered in the past.  Since scholarship funding often depends on the economy and interest rates, sponsors may choose to make changes before offering scholarships in the spring.

The scholarships below require specific applications.  Application deadlines may vary from scholarship to scholarship.

Agriculture Futures of America Scholarship-amount varies (This scholarship for students majoring in agriculture is administered through the Ag. Department.  See ag instructor for more information.)

American Legion Scholarship-$500

Better Business Bureau Student of Ethics Award-$2500

Chapter M PEO Scholarship-$200 (awarded to a female)

Charles and Pauline Hamilton Foundation Scholarship--$2,000 annually to a NS or SS High School Catholic senior 

Coonrod Vocational Eductional Scholarship-Two $500 Scholarships (graduating Senior from the North Shelby FFA Chapter that is continuing their education at a career and technical education school with preference given to a student pursuing a degree/certification in agricultural Mechanics.)

Farmers Mutual Fire Insurance Company of Shelby County-$2,500

Macon Electric Foundation Scholarship

Missouri Bankers' Foundation Scholarship-$250 (Student must be entering the field of Banking)

Northeast Diesel Service-$500 (Students must be going into an industrial or service related field.)

Northeast Missouri Old Threshers Scholarship-$250 (The student's family must be a member of the Northeast Missouri Old Threshers for the past two years.)

Patriot Guard Riders of Missouri Scholarship--2016-17--$2500

Salt River Federated Women's Scholarship--$300

Shelbina Lodge #228 A.F. and A.M. Scholarship-$500

Shelby Co. Farm Bureau Scholarship-$250

Shelbyville Moonshiners Inc. Volunteer and Community Service Scholarship-$250

Shelter Insurance Foundation Scholarship-$1,500 (Application arrival will be announced on the bulletin.)

University of Missouri Extension Scholarship in memory of Paul and Louise Wilson-$250

Youth in Agriculture Scholarship-Individuals must have participated in the Missouri State Fair as a youth exhibitor in the FFA or 4-H divisions.

In an effort to save time and duplicate paperwork, the following scholarships use a common application.  The deadline for this application is the end of March.

 C.J. Kessler Scholarship-$250

Calvert Memorial Scholarship-$1000 (Students must have a minimum of a B grade point average. Preference may be given to applicants who pursue a major in education. The scholarship must be repaid if the recipient fails to graduate.)

C-Com., Inc.-$500

Community State Bank of Clarence and Shelbina Agricultural Scholarship-$250 (Students must be planning an agriculture related career.)

Community State Bank of Clarence and Shelbina General Scholarship-$250

County Teachers Association Scholarship-$250 paid the beginning of the junior year (Students must be planning to major in education.)

Exchange Bank of Northeast Missouri Scholarship-$250

Foehinger and Critchlow Memorial Scholarship-$50

H. Chris Mesmer Memorial Scholarship-$300 (Priority may be given to students pursuing an agriculture related career.)

Hilber Memorial Scholarship-$700

Jerome L. Van Gels Scholarship- $200 (Students must be planning to major in education.)

Lester and Mary Alice Ritchie Scholarship-$250 (Priority may be given to students pursuing an agriculture related career.) 

Mike Wilson Memorial-$250 (priority given to a NS Football player)

Paul and Louise Wilson Memorial-$500 (Student must be continuing their education in an agricultural field.)
