Mrs. Perry began her teaching career in Knox County where she taught a 3rd, 4th grade combination class for two years. She came to North Shelby in 1984 and taught 30 years in second grade. She retired from full-time teaching in 2014 but couldn't leave behind the great students and staff of North Shelby.
Mrs. Perry is now the elementary guidance counselor and enrichment class leader. She has a Tuesday through Thursday schedule at North Shelby Elementary.
Her life away from school keeps her busy on the farm with her husband, Jim. They have two grown children--Megan is a CEO at Boys and Girls Clubs and lives in Memphis, Tennessee with her husband Corey and their son Cooper. Christopher is a veterinarian in Edina, Missouri. He lives there with his wife, Jessica.
