The breakfast menu for this week is:

                Tuesday – breakfast croissant, cereal, fruit, juice, milk

                Wednesday – eggs, bacon, cereal, fruit, juice, milk

                Thursday – muffins, yogurt, cereal, fruit, juice, milk

                Friday – biscuits and gravy, cereal, fruit, juice, milk


The lunch menu for this week is:

                Tuesday – taco, refried beans, corn, fruit, brownie

                Wednesday – baked potato or hamburger on bun, green beans, fresh vegetables, fruit

                Thursday – meatballs, mashed potatoes, peas, fruit

                Friday – chicken nuggets, pasta salad, broccoli, fruit

  1. The following Sophomores need to pay $25 class dues to Kirby Latimer as soon as possible:

  2. Juniors and seniors may sign up items/prizes in the high school office they would like to see given away at the After Prom party.


  1. The North Shelby Raider Marching Band is accepting students for the color-guard for next year's (2017-2018) marching band season. If you are interested in the opportunity to be an official member of the color-guard, please contact Mr. Thomas. He is in the band room before, during, and after school. You may also put a letter of interest in his mailbox in the mail room. Tryouts are May 10 after school!


  1. Students older than 13 by June 1 interested in applying for the Blessing Hospital Youth Corps may find information on the bulletin board and at www.blessinghealthsystem.org.  Applications are due no later than April 30.


  1. Nation Honor Society induction will be Wednesday, April 26 at 2:15 in the HS gym. Family members and outside guests of NHS initiates should RSVP to Mrs. Williams (jaimew@nshelby.k12.mo.us or by calling the school) by Friday, April 21.

    NHS Members and initiates will have practice in the HS gym during RT on Monday. Check in for attendance before going to the gym please.


  1. FFA Plant Sale will be Wednesday and Friday, April  26 and 28 from 3:15 p.m.-6:00 p.m. and Saturday, April 29 from 9:00 a.m.-1:00 p.m.


  2. Arrive Alive t-shirts are here – you must pay Mrs. Jones before you take your shirt  home. T-shirts  $10/ Hoodies $15


  3. Seniors need to sign up AND pay for extra graduation roses by April 28th. Each class member gets 1 rose paid for by the class. Give your money to Mrs. Henderson.


  4. JV/V baseball teams will play at Atlanta Tuesday at 5:00 p.m. The bus will leave at 3:15 p.m.


  5. JH track will compete at Knox Co. Tuesday at 3:00 p.m. The bus will leave at 2:15 p.m.


  6. Area FFA Banquet will be held Tuesday.


  7. North Shelby will host Scholar Bowl Sectional Wednesday. The first game is at 5:00 p.m.


  8. Varsity track will compete at Knox Co. Thursday at 3:00 p.m. The bus will leave at 2:15 p.m.


  9. JV/V baseball teams will host Marion Co.  Thursday at 5:00 p.m. Susan Wilson has gate duty at 4:00 p.m.


  10.  Micah Linberger and Shaughn Malcarne will compete at MSHSAA State Music Festival Thursday. They will leave at 1:50 p.m.


  11. Levi Cullifer will be excused April 28 for the MACC LAL 121 field trip in Hannibal.


  12. Tdap and Menactra clinic will be held for current 7th graders and juniors Friday, April 28th.  Students had to return their form that was sent home in March to receive their vaccine.


  13. North Shelby Prom will be Saturday, April 29. Grand March will begin at 6:00 p.m. Prom will be from 7:00-11:00 p.m.


  14. Varsity cheerleading and mascot tryouts will be held on May 11th after school.   Practices will be on May 8th and 9th from 3:15 to 4:30.  A sign up sheet is on the bulletin. You have until April 28th to sign up. 


  15. Seniors and Juniors need to pay for meals/favors for prom by Thursday April 27th.  List of what is owed is outside room 12.


  16. Students who would like to donate blood next Monday please pick up a consent form from the office.


  17.  Any student in grades 7th-12th grade interested in the Sitter Safe Class on May 31st provided by the health department may pick up a form from Nurse Randi.  Forms were sent home with all 4th-6th grade students.


  18. Arrive Alive Day is Monday, May 1st.  Students should wear their Arrive Alive shirts and we will be gathering at 8:20 to take a photo with our banner.


  19. The following placed at the Louisiana track meet on Friday:

    Shaughn Malcarne – 6th 100 meter, 1st Long Jump and Triple Jump

    Maggie von Thun – 2nd Javelin

    Hannah Meyers – 3rd 800 meter

    Anna Killen – 6th 800 meter

    Ben Bowen – 5th Shot Put


  20. Seniors will meet in Mrs. Henderson’s room Friday during Raider Time.


  21. The 7-10 football players will meet with Coach Bass Friday during Raider Time.
