Breakfast Menu

                Monday – French toast sticks, cereal, fruit, juice, milk

Tuesday – breakfast croissant, cereal, fruit, juice, milk

                Wednesday – eggs, bacon, cereal, fruit, juice, milk

                Thursday – muffins, yogurt, cereal, fruit, juice, milk

                Friday – biscuits and gravy, cereal, fruit, juice, milk


The lunch menu for this week is:

                Wednesday – chill or chicken noodle soup, peanut butter or pimento cheese sandwich, fresh vegetables, peaches

                Thursday – hot dog or chili dog, nacho cheese and chips, beets, fruit

                Friday – hamburger on bun, fresh vegetables, carrots, fruit

  1. FBLA fall party will be October 19 at 5 p.m.  Scavenger hunt will take place in Shelbyville and pizza and soda will be provided for your dinner.  Please sign up if you plan to attend on the bulletin board.  Be sure your dues are paid so you are able to come to this party.


  2. SENIORS: Mrs. Cook has been forwarding scholarship applications to your school email as she receives them.  Please continuously check your email and apply for any scholarships you qualify for.


  3. A Parents as Teachers "Fall Frolic" group connection will be held on Thursday, October 19, from 6:00 to 7:00 p.m. near the front elementary parking lot.  In case of inclement weather, it will be held in the elementary gym.  All parents, grandparents, and care givers with their children birth through the preschool years are encouraged to attend.


  4. The last chance to order your yearbook at the discounted rate of $35 is October 27.  Flyers were sent home the first week of school.  You may order online, by phone or you may mail your payment directly to Josten's. The website is jostensyearbooks.com.

  6. The flu vaccine clinic will be held on Thursday, October 19th.  If your student received their flu vaccine elsewhere please let Nurse Randi know the date they received it so their immunization record can be updated.  To view the Vaccine Information Sheet (VIS) please go to http://www.immunize.org/vis/    and then click on Influenza – IIV


  7. Raiders will play at Pattonsburg Friday at 7:00 p.m. in the first round of district play offs. The bus will leave at 2:00 p.m.


  8. There will be a pep rally Friday at 1:45 p.m.


  9. Varsity scholar bowl will practice Thursday morning at 7:30 a.m.


  10. Varsity football cheerleaders will meet in Ms. Chandler’s room during Raider Time tomorrow (Wednesday).


  11. Friday is Buckle Up Phone Down Day.  You may take the challenge by signing up at http://www.modot.org/BuckleUpPhoneDown/.  Missouri has a “no texting” law for drivers under 21 years old. But MoDot is challenging all drivers to honor that ban no matter what their age. Reported crashes involving cell phones rose 17 percent in 2015. When a driver is texting and driving, they are 23 times more likely to be in a critical incident.


  12. FCCLA Haunted House trip, October 28,  sign up sheet is on the bulletin board outside of the high school office.  FCCLA dues must be paid in order to go.  Haunted House cost is $9 and Escape room is $5.  We will be eating supper that the chapter pays for. The bus will leave at 5:30 p.m. and return approximately 10:15 p.m.
