Responsibility

North Shelby Elementary hosted its first Under “Kid”struction Student Celebration assembly on October 6, 2017.  Each month this school year, NSE will focus on a different character trait.  All the character traits spotlight how we are building our students, and these traits go along with our 2017-18 Under “Kid”struction theme.  The focus trait for September was responsibility.  Students who consistently demonstrate responsibility at school were recognized at the assembly and received a special certificate.  Parents, grandparents, and other special guests came to help us celebrate some of our awesome students.  We are so proud of our Little Raiders!

Below is a list of character traits and the months each will be celebrated.

  1. Built to Learn – Content Knowledge (All year)
  2. Built to Lead – Responsibility (September) and Service (October)
  3. Built to Honor – Respect (November)
  4. Built to Care – Compassion (December)
  5. Built Right – Honesty (January)
  6. Built with Backbone – Determination (February)
  7. Built with Balance – Self Control (March)
